Short Story for Kids written by: Matias Constanzo.

Once upon a time…

A space cowboy crashed in the middle of the jungle and turned into an awful and ugly toad. Just in that moment, met a pretty princess called Isabelle.

She got scared when saw him, because he was gigantic and much bigger than other toads in the jungle.

Story-astronaut-girl

The princess continued walking through the jungle, but the ugly toad was following her steps, every time she was moving forward, the toad was jumping around trying to ask for help. Just in that moment Isabelle wondered:

- “What does this ugly and giant toad want?, maybe he wants me to kiss him…that would be disgusting”.

She continued walking and the toad kept jumping beside her, considering the toad´s insitence, the princess wondered:

“What if he was a prince? I would have to kiss him, but that would be really disgusting, I could not do it”.

The toad continued at her side…

“Might you be a prince…?” – the princess thought.

She finally decided what to do after a few hours…

- “well, ok, you have been with me the whole time here in the jungle, I guess you are asking me something, I will kiss you, but just once; because you actually are an ugly toad, really ugly”.

The princess knelt before the toad, closed her eyes and kissed him. When she opened her eyes saw a handsome space cowboy. She asked him:

- “Who are you? You don´t look like a normal prince”.

- “I am not a prince, I am a space cowboy. I crashed in the jungle just before you came. Thank you so much for helping me, I did not want to be an ugly toad any more, I will fix my space plane to go back to the moon“.

They went together to the moon, made sack races, they never separated and were very happy.

THE END

Moral of the story: If somebody is ugly does not matter, do not judge people for their aspect, because they could be more beautiful than what they look like.

Vales of the Story: respect, kindness, understanding.
