Short stories - Wesley the boy wizard

A voice was sounding in his head: “Improvise, Walt”.

-”Improvising? what was that?”

Improvising is acting when the unexpected (magic) happens. After many hours walking around the street, Walt could arrived home, where his parents scolded him.

That night, he dreamed again. This time, the magician was up in a mountain without saying anything. It was just him, dressed in a blue tunic, at the top of a huge mountain.

Walt saw lots of colors accumulated at the mountain: The green grass of the top; with colorful dots (were the flowers); trees with brown trunks; gold colored  bees; gray roses; blue rivers, white snow.

Walt woke up worried again. Nature was outside, far from the city. He had to find that mountain. Prepared a rucksack with food and clothes inside, and began his trip.

He had never abandoned the metropolis to get into the wild territories. It took him much time and effort to find the way out. It was dark when he finally arrived to the field, and Walt saw the stars for the first time. Smelled the wet soil and heard the crickets. And Walt, believed in magic for the first time.

He spent that night in the open. Was cold, but he did not care. Screamed very loud without knowing why, but he needed to take out of his own body everything gray from the city.

The next day, saw the shape of the mountain drawn over the horizon. Walked without resting, climbed, creeped and dragged where he could.

It was not easy to reach the top of the mountain. Was disappointed when realized that nobody was there. closed his eyes to avoid a tear streaming down is cheek, and, at that moment, the magician appeared. Walt still had his eyes closed, but could see the magician.

-”Walt, I don´t exist, but magic does”.

He understood everything immediately. He believed in magic from that moment, and the days were always different for him. Making his homework, but was not monotonous, and learnt to be happier and to live every instant with illusion.
